Whilst this version is primarily aimed at including the changes to Legal Aid for spring 2013, there have been a number of other fixes, as detailed below.
In this topic: Show
[LCSILB-18144] – The issue when a credit note, with an allocated Unpaid Bill Disbursement, is reversed and the Unpaid Disbursement is not created has been corrected.
[LCSILB-18094] – Following the upgrade to version 1.19.0, there has been a delay when opening Accounts Enquiry. This speed issue has now been resolved.
[LCSILB-18022] – When producing a claim for Criminal Billing, any unassigned counsel travel fares were being omitted. This has now been resolved.
[LCSILB-18009] – Following the allocation improvements, there have been reports of differences between the trial balance and the client listing office balance. This has now been resolved.
[LCSILB-17930] – The causing a system communication error message to display when processing a disbursement or disbursement allocation has been resolved.
[LCSILB-17892] – The process used to switch on Cash Collection has been enhanced to speed up the whole process.
[LCSILB-17809] – When printing a cheque, where there are no branch details, e.g. billing address, the cheque is no longer printed blank.
[LCSILB-17801] – When you go into Utilities and try to Add Work Types and input code 01110 a System Communication error displays. This is because of a conflict with an existing nominal code. This conflict has now been resolved.
[LCSILB-11747] – When attempting to print multiple bills and using the Microsoft Word option, only one bill was being merged and saved. This issue has now been fixed and all selected bills are merged and saved to history.
[LCSILB-11712] – Since adding the statement date to the Bank Reconciliation screens there was an issue with the display size on the Uncleared, Cleared and History screens when not displayed in full screen mode or on lower resolution screens. These screens have now been adjusted so the relevant controls are always visible.
[LCSILB-11626] – There was an issue whereby if you posted a credit note on the Court Duty matter, time was changed to unbilled which made it available to be submitted on the next claim. This occurred as the bill/credit note screen allowed you to enter the special LSC matter and post credit notes which should be possible, as with the accounts enquiry for this matter where the posting menu option to post credit notes is greyed out. The same validation now occurs in the Bill Posting menu.
[LCSILB-11618] – When a generic credit note is raised (whereby the "bill no to credit" is left as "none") or a disbursement only credit note is raised, any time was by default being selected as unbilled. This has now been amended as follows. When creating a bill posting, time remains unselected until the user enters profit costs; at that point, all the time becomes selected. If the user resets the profit costs back to zero the time becomes deselected again. When creating a credit note posting, time remains unselected until the user selects a bill number AND enters profit costs. If the user resets the bill number back to None, or resets the profit costs back to zero, the time becomes deselected again. If ever the user clicks on the time tab and manually selects/deselects a time line, this turns off the automatic select all/deselect all option until the next posting.
[LCSILB-11553] – The Designated Deposit Interest posting is designed to post a sum directly onto the deposit account. However, with this posting the system also posts a credit and debit to the client bank associated with that matter. This has now been corrected so the money does not show on the general client ledger.
[LCSILB-11209] – The issue of a disbursement only bill picking up time automatically has been resolved. Time is now only selected automatically when the profit costs have been entered.
[LCSILB-10942] – The system was showing an accounts imbalance where a work type was archived and there was still a balance against the work type's nominal. As such, you can no longer archive a work type unless there are no live matters against it and the balance is zero or if there are transaction on the cost nominal. Checks are made to see if it is used on a bill as well. When the work type is archived, the nominal and nominal departments are also archived.
[LCSILB-110893] – When an unpaid disbursement is included on a bill and the client pays the bill, the current warning message is incorrect. As such the following warnings now display:
If office is in credit due to the unpaid disbursements element of a bill being paid it should read "Office Account in credit due to Unpaid Billed Disbursements. Amend immediately or in compliance with the 2 day rule if applicable."
If the office balance is in credit because it is in credit, with no unpaid disbursement element it should read “Office Account in credit. Amend immediately.”
[LCSILB-10084] – The issue where you post negative time and whilst the units is recorded as negative, the amount calculated is positive. This has been corrected.
[LCSILB-10083] – When using the Interest posting and trying to print out the report, a System Communication error was displaying where a bank is selected with no interest rate so the system enters a dummy rate with the date of 01/01/0001. This has been amended so the dummy rate will have a date of the day before the first posting, or yesterday, if there are no postings.
[LCSILB-10057] – The issue where the maximum payment figure on Civil Billing matters was calculating as zero has been resolved. This was occurring on matters set up against IALB/IFRB, IALB/IFRA & IACB/IGOL. Both these MT1 codes generate the LH Stage Claim fee and the fee generated by these three MT2 codes is determined by the MT1 code. To correct the issue the span type 2's have been added to the valid combinations.
[LCSILB-10026] – The issue whereby a user is not allowed to re-allocate the profit split for a bill raised on a date which is now in a closed VAT period has been resolved with this restriction being lifted.
[LCSILB-10025] – A couple of issues with the Ledger print out have been corrected. The Billed amount and the running balance are now correct. Also the Brought Forward figures are now correct and the Claimed Time amount is now included in the WIP section.
[LCSILB-9980] – In the VAT report, the "ref" column is very narrow and is cutting off the full references. This has now been rectified.
[LCSILB-9428] – The Cleared Items printout, via Bank Transactions / Cleared / Print was defaulting to Letter size. This has been corrected so it now defaults to A4.
[LCSILB-10103] – Following issues with Purchase Ledger, Will write off and DI transfer to nominals will not allow the nominal to be on a different branch than the matter.
[LCSILB-11239] – The issue whereby the UFN search was returning a number of non-Legal Aid matters as well has been resolved. The issue arose when you edited a non-legal aid matter after editing a legal aid matter and it applied the UFN. For any other clients that come across this issue, Support will have a routine which will fix existing data, i.e. removes any UFN for non-legal aid matters.
[LCSILB-11012] – The issue of archived matters still showing on the client live matters report that day has been resolved.
[LCSILB-10104] – The issue of not being able to delete a work type agenda has been resolved. Click to select an agenda when there is one already on the work type and then click Cancel and the agenda will clear when you click Save.
[LCSILB-10007] – Where a number of counties have been appearing in block capitals, this has been resolved with them now displaying in Title case.
[LCSILB-9993] – Where a number of counties have been appearing in block capitals, this has been resolved with them now displaying in Title case.
[LCSILB-9990] – The address search has been returning duplicate addresses owing to it being link to the additional elements such as work phone, mobile phone and email address, where if all three were completed, the address would be returned three times, but filtered out during the display which means the number of items returned does not always match the number displayed. This has now been resolved. Also the "More" option is only displayed when it is required.
[LCSILB-9972] – The calculation for Stamp Duty has been amended to allow for the fact that the exemption for first time buyers up to a value of £250,000 has now ceased to be in effect.
[LCSILB-9925] – The issue relating to the limits for court bundles for the Family Fixed Fees module has been correct so users will only see the warnings when they are valid.
[LCSILB-18127] – The issue of the search in Document History becoming case sensitive and wild cards not working has been resolved.
[LCSILB-18043] – Following the upgrade to version 1.19.0, there has been an issue whereby the template application in Document Management can no longer be changed. This has been resolved.
[LCSILB-17956] – The issue of emails being duplicated in version 1.19.0 has been resolved. If any clients have any duplications, please contact the support team who will run a routine to correct the issue.
[LCSILB-11800] – Temporary documents, created as part of the merge process, have been appearing in the document history and it has not been possible to delete them. This issue has been fixed.
[LCSILB-11778] – Where matters had a large number of documents, there was a delay in the document history being displayed. This has now been rectified.
[LCSILB-11101] – A number of different error messages displayed from time to time during the merge process. A thorough investigation of the routines involved in the merge process has got to the root of these issues and the process is now more robust.
[LCSILB-10862] – The restriction, when using the Actions / Produce Document menu command to be only able to select a document from the current module or application, has been amended so you can now use the drop down and select from the current application or module and PMS. If you wish to move a document from another module, you need to make the document template a PMS template.
[LCSILB-10005]/[LCSILB-6116] – When merging documents, where the contact with the role set to "Referred to us by" is used, the Nameblock and Surname and Forename fields were pulling through the primary client details. This has now been corrected.
Note: Any existing templates using these fields will need to be re-coded to pick up this correction.
[LCSILB-9993] – There are occasions when you get a stack trace error when merging a document. This, however, relates to the client reference being created which does not match the client reference setting in system parameters. As such, the coding has been changed so there is only one routine for setting up the client reference. Also the one routine has also been amended so that, rather than just removing a few characters, it's now looking for all non-alphabetic characters and stripping them out to prevent this error re-occurring.
[LCSILB-9771] – When importing an email to document history from an MSG file, an error would occur as the date was set to 01/01/0001. This has been resolved and the date will now be blank.
[LCSILB-9269] – When using the Field Code Selector and picking the "RD - Date" the merge string was not displaying the selected date format at the bottom of the dialog box. This has now been corrected.
[LCSILB-11157] – When merging the IHT406 within the probate package, at page 1 column 3, amount held including interest at date of death, the figure pulled through from the assets tab was the probate figure only, not including the interest accrued amount. This has now been corrected.
[LCSILB-10077] – When merging the CW1 Form on any Civil\Family Matter there were a couple of issues with the merged data on page 1 which have been corrected. The initials and the National Insurance Number now display correctly on the form.
[LCSILB-17741] – The Matter Enquiry report now displays the WIP figure at the charge amount and not cost.
[LCSILB-11759] – The Fee Earner Analysis - Surplus/Deficit report was calculating by assuming that the fee earner has an even split across the year and dividing the annual budget fee figure by 12. This was giving incorrect results where fee earners had started part way through the year. This has now been corrected and the report now looks at the monthly budget fees figures. Similar fee earner analysis reports have also been checked for this issue.
[LCSILB-11727] – On the Profit and Loss report, the Total Income and Total Expenditure figures was displaying as zero if there was no Interest. This has now been resolved.
[LCSILB-11284] – Following a rejected claim by the Legal Services Commission and further clarification from them, the SPAN codes FAMD, FAME, FAMV, FAMY and FAM1 will not produce exceptional claim. Only FAMA, FAMB, FAMC, FAMW and FAMX will produce exceptional fees.
[LCSILB-9714] – In IRIS Law Scotland, when trying to run report from PMS / Power of Attorney List, letter an exception error occurs. This has been resolved.
[LCSILB-17698] – Not all 398 supplementary details fields have been added so they display in the field selector. This has been resolved and any client still not able to see all supplementary field should contact Support to arrange for a data fix.
[LCSILB-10102] – On the view menu from PMS and Accounts, the horizontal and vertical icons were the wrong way round. This has been corrected.
