Grouping clients

There are two types of client group in ALB:

Marketing contact groups

If you have the Marketing module, you can define contact groups for use in marketing campaigns. See Marketing.

General groups

You might want to indicate that a client belongs to a certain group of clients. For example, you may have a number of clients who are involved in a group claim and you want to indicate this. You will then be able to search for this group of clients by typing the group's code into Client Search - Search by Unique Reference, Group.

To create a general group and assign clients to the group:

  1. For a client you want to add to the general group, on Client Details - General Details tab, enter a group code of your choice in the Group field.

  2. Repeat step 1 for each client that you want to add to the group.
