Laserform Hub integration

From version 2.7.0, ALB integrates with Laserform Hub using the Conveyancing agenda. You can run a step or launch the integration from a menu which will merge data and display the Laserform Hub version of the SDLT or AP1 forms which can be submitted via the Government's portal.

To ensure a seamless integration, your Laserform Hub username should match the email address set in your user profile in ALB and both passwords should be identical. If this is not the case, when the Laserform Hub agenda step is run, the Laserform Hub login screen will display and you will need to login before the form displays.

Laserform Hub agenda step

A standard Hub step type is created on upgrade to 2.7.0 (or above) to enable you to generate Laserform Hub forms using agendas but administrators can create their own step types.

To create a new agenda step type:

  1. In Utilities » Document/Agenda Setup, expand the Agendas node and click Step Types.
  2. Right-click and select Add New Step Type.
  3. Complete the Ref and Description fields.
  4. Select Open Laserform Hub from the Action drop-down.
  5. Click OK.

To create a new Laserform Hub step in an agenda:

  1. In the relevant (master) agenda click Add Step.
  2. In the Step Details complete the fields as required.
  3. Click the Step Type tab.
  4. Select Open Laserform Hub.
  5. Click the Document tab.
  6. Click Add Document.
  7. Click the Document Template lookup.
  8. In the Choose a Template screen, click Hub Form tab and double-click SDLT or AP1 as required.
  9. Select the check box to make the document public if required and click OK.
  10. Click OK again to create the step.

Merging to Laserform Hub

Running the agenda step opens Laserform Hub and merges data held in ALB to the relevant field, however, you will need to check through the form and complete any blank fields.

When the fields in the form have been completed, click Submit form.

Once the SDLT has been submitted, you will receive an email which contains a link to the SDLT5.

The SDLT5 is the certificate you get confirming the submission. This gives details of the status of the submission (e.g. draft, submitted) and the date and time of submission. The SDLT5 also gets sent to the Land Registry along with the AP1.

Click the link to display the SDLT5 and create a PDF version to save into the history as proof of the tax return having been made. You can save the email into the history as well.

As well as merging to Laserform Hub by running an appropriate agenda step you can merge a Laserform Hub form from the Actions menu.

To open a form using the menu:

  1. Open the matter and view the Conveyancing Details.
  2. From the Actions menu select Create Hub Form.
  3. Select SDLT or AP1 from the side menu as required.

The form opens in Laserform Hub, with data merged from the conveyancing module.

Notes
  • For a seamless merge, ensure your ALB email address and password match your Laserform Hub username and password. If either do not match, the Laserform Hub login screen will display and you will need to enter your Laserform Hub credentials before the form will display.
  • The AP1 form will only contain data if the SDLT1 has been submitted and accepted as it inherits data from the SDLT so as to minimise data input from you.
  • Fields with a red border and the prompt "Please complete" are mandatory.
  • Other fields have automatically validation, e.g. the Post Code field check that a valid post code has been entered.
