Matter Details - Diary tab

The Diary tab shows diary entries – appointments and tasks – that have been entered in relation to the matter. A diary entry can be assigned to more than one client or matter.

For diary entries that relate to the client but not a particular matter, use Client Details - Diary instead.

You can also work with diary entries directly in the Diary application.

Adding appointments and tasks

  1. Right-click in the list area and select Add Appointment or Add task.
  2. Enter the details of the appointment or task.
  3. You can create a recurring appointment or task:
  4. Click OK to create the appointment or task.

Editing an appointment or task

  1. Right-click the appointment or task that you want to edit and select Edit Selected Appt/Task.
  2. Make the changes as required.
  3. Click OK.

Cancelling an appointment or task

Caution Cancelling an appointment or task will remove all data for that item.

  1. Right-click the appointment or task that you want to delete and select Edit Selected Appt/Task.
  2. If there are multiple people involved, on Group appointments / Group tasks, select the checkbox for each person. Click Next.
  3. Select the Reason and Category for the cancellation and enter notes if required.
  4. Click Finish to delete the item.

Completing an appointment or task

  1. Right-click the appointment or task that you want to complete and select Edit Selected Appt/Task.
  2. In the Status field, select Completed. Alternatively, for % Complete enter 100.
  3. Click OK. The appointment or task is completed. You can view it on the Diary tab by selecting a Status Filter of Completed Only or All Items.

Filtering the list of appointments and tasks

To make it easier to work with the information, you can filter the appointments and tasks that are displayed.

Using Status Filter, select whether you want to see:

    • Outstanding Only
    • Completed Only
    • All Items
