Batches

A batch is a container into which a set of accounts postings are made.

A batch might contain a set of postings of the same type that have been made on a particular day, or a small firm might use monthly batches.

ALB can be used with or without batches. We recommend the use of batches as they provide an easily visible audit trail for your accounts transactions.

Note The default setting is for batches to be used. This can be changed in Utilities if required.

Batch numbering is automatic and sequential. The content and naming of batches will be determined by your firm's size and cashiers' way of working.
