Complete tasks
When you have actioned a task you should mark it as completed so that
you can keep track of those that are still outstanding. You can mark individual
tasks as complete or more than one at the same time.
To complete a task:
- In the Task
view, do one of the following:
- Double-click the task you
want to complete.
- Select the task, and click
Edit Task on the Home tab.
- Right-click the task and select Edit Task.
- In % Complete,
type 100. The date completed
will automatically be set to today's date, although this can be changed
manually if required.
- If you are completing a limitation task, then you will
also be prompted to specify a completion reason. This field will
be enabled, allowing you to do select one.
- Click OK
to complete the task. The task will be removed from the list.
- If a task has been assigned to multiple
users, then you will be asked if you want to apply the change
to the other group tasks. Click Yes
to mark all tasks as complete or No
to only mark the selected user's task as complete.
- If a task has been associated with a
client or matter, then it can still be seen on the Diary tab for
that client or matter by setting Status Filter to Completed Only
or All Items.
To complete multiple tasks:
- In the Task
view, tick the Complete check
box for all the tasks you want to complete. This is the left-hand
column in the list of tasks.
- If any of the tasks are limitation tasks, then the task
screen will open, prompting you to specify a completion reason.
This field will be enabled, allowing you to do select one.
- Each task will be struck out (i.e. appear
with a line through it). When the diary is refreshed, the tasks will
be removed from the list.
