Documents

Any file type that can added to the history can be shared and downloaded. The downloaded document will use the description field's content for the file name.

Important The documents will only be displayed if they have been marked as Make Public in the matter's document history. Documents can also be restricted to certain contacts.

To make a document visible in Legal Live:

  1. Import or edit a document and mark it as Make Public in the Edit Document dialog box.
  2. A pop-up displays with a list of clients and contacts assigned to the matter.
  3. The primary client and any clients are selected by default.
  4. Deselect and select the clients and contacts as required and click Share.
  5. An email is created with the selected clients and contacts in the Bcc field. The email has standard text advising the clients and contacts that a document has been made available on Legal Live.

Notes

Caution Any amendments made to the documents are not saved back to the document held in ALB's document history for the matter.
