Remittance advice can be automatically generated when posting PPI batches – initiated from either the Pay Invoices screen or the PPI posting slip. A single remittance advice is produced for each supplier per payment type per PPI batch.
To generate a remittance advice:
Post a Purchase Pay Invoice (PPI) for the desired invoices, either from the Accounts menu drop-down or via the Pay Invoices screen.
In the Posting screen, select the PPI batch and click Post All. The standard Merge dialog box is displayed first.
Select the posting slip merge options (if required) and click Yes.
Next, the Remittance Merge dialog box opens. This defaults to the remittance template specified in the Accounts (General) Configuration screen (however this can be overridden if required) and allows you to choose between merging and closing or merging and printing.
To merge and close the remittance advice, select Close.
To merge and print the remittance advice, select Print.
Click Yes to continue. A single remittance advice is produced for each supplier per payment type per PPI batch. The remittance advice are stored in Document Management (by supplier) and are visible in the supplier history (i.e. the History tab in the Supplier List).
If you click No, the posting will proceed without producing any remittance advice.
