Compatible telephone systems can be integrated with Legal Enterprise, allowing dial-out from the software and caller information to be shown for incoming calls. This means time can be saved by dialling out directly from a database record and callers can be identified and the appropriate record opened. A timer can also be started automatically when outgoing and incoming calls are answered. This telephony integration may also be referred to as Computer Telephone Integration (CTI).
It has been tested with Avaya, however, it has been written using Windows Telephony Application Programming Interface (TAPI) interface, so any third-party software that is TAPI compliant should be compatible, but that it would need to be checked first.
Note
Telephony integration will only work on thin client if the third-party product supports thin client and is TAPI-3 compliant.
