The Laserform Desktop database

The Laserform Desktop database holds reference data that can be inserted into any form, but which is the same for all companies: for example, there is a directory of all District Land Registry addresses.

The contents of the Laserform Desktop database can only be amended by the system administrator. See Editing the Laserform Desktop database.

New versions of the database are supplied by Laserform Desktop from time to time.

The database contains the following reference tables:

• Courts
• Local Authorities (including detailed information available via the "Local Authority References" viewing feature)
• Probate Registries
• Court Fees
• Land Registries
• Water Companies

Information contained within the "Laserform Desktop" database is by its very nature susceptible to change. Users are therefore encouraged to verify information recorded in databases before use and advise Laserform Desktop of any corrections, so that the master database may be kept as up-to-date as possible and customers advised of any significant changes.

Court information is available for users to insert into court forms. Selection of a High Court defaults to the Queens Bench Division (this being the most common selection), although users may select Chancery or "Blank" to be inserted into the relevant fields.

The Laserform Desktop database is named LFM7DB.MDB.
