Create appointments
You can use the diary to schedule appointments for meetings, court attendance,
holidays, etc. The types of appointments are set up by administrators
in Utilities (see Add
diary resource types). Appointments can be created for single users
and groups of users. The process is almost identical.
To create an appointment:
- In the diary, select the user for which you
want to create the appointment.
- On the Home
tab, in the New group, click
Diary Appointment.
- You can also right-click the
diary and click New » Diary
Appointment.
- You can also press CTRL+N.
- When the Appointment
for... screen opens, on the Appointment
tab, complete the appointment details.
- (Optional) On the PMS
Details tab, assign
a client and/or matter to the appointment.
- Click OK
to add the appointment.
To create a group appointment:
- In the diary, select the user for which you
want to create the appointment.
- On the Home
tab, in the New group, click
Group Appointment, and then
from the drop-down click one of the following:
- Use
Current Group. Automatically selects the group you
are assigned to.
- Select
New Group. Allows you to select the desired group(s)
from a list of those available. When the Organise
users screen opens, select the required group(s), click
Add, and then OK.
- Use
Everyone. Automatically selects all users and resources.
- You can also right-click the diary
and click New »
Group Appointment.
- When the Appointment
for... screen opens, on the Appointment
tab, complete the appointment details.
- (Optional) On the PMS
Details tab, assign
a client and/or matter to an appointment.
- Click OK
to add the appointment.
Tip You can
also add an appointment from within the Client and Matter Details screens.
On the Diary tab, right-click and select Add Appointment.
Notes
- ALB
has a limit of 100 recurring appointments. If you attempt
to create a larger number than this you will receive a SQL
Exception error.
