Create tasks
You can use the diary to create tasks for key dates, limitation dates, file reviews, etc. As with appointments, tasks can be created for single users and groups of users. The process is almost identical.
To create a task:
- In the diary, select the user for which you want to create the task.
- On the Home tab, in the New group, click Task.
- You can also right-click the diary and click New: Task.
- You can also press CTRL+SHIFT+T.
- When the Task for... screen opens, on the Task tab, complete the task details.
- (Optional) On the PMS Details tab, assign a client and/or matter to the task.
- Click OK to add the task.
To create a group task:
- In the diary, select the user for which you want to create the task.
- On the Home tab, in the New group, click Group Task, and then from the drop-down click one of the following:

- Select New Group. Allows you to select the desired group(s) from a list of those available. When the Organise users screen opens, select the required group(s), click Add, and then OK.
- Use Everyone. Automatically selects all users and resources.
- You can also right-click the diary and click New: Group Task.
- When the Task for... screen opens, on the Task tab, complete the task details.

- Click OK to add the task.
Tip You can also add a task from within the Client and Matter Details screens. On the Diary tab, right-click and select Add Task.
