Creating custom form templates

This option is only available when Forms Customisation is enabled and allows partially filled forms to be saved as templates.

It means that frequently used text is automatically inserted whenever a new form is launched from that template.

See Saving forms to save a form without creating a template.

Tip You can view a video of this feature.

  1. Select File: Save as custom template....
  2. Browse to where you want to store the template.
  3. Enter a unique name for the template filename.

As well as user-defined text, standard court and practice details and autotext clauses can also be saved as part of the template, using the following syntax:

##test1##(where ‘test1’ is the name of the Clause as it appears in the Organiser screen)

The text will automatically be inserted into the field when a new form is launched from the template.

See Opening Obsolete Forms for how to update custom templates.
